Finding Your People, Why We Built Feelin Well

Fitness and Wellness map first platform for Ireland and the UK

Did you know, there are more than 134,000 fitness and wellness businesses across Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Independent gyms. Yoga studios above shops. Personal trainers running bootcamps in the local park at 6am. Physiotherapists, massage therapists, pilates instructors, run clubs, martial arts schools, dance studios, holistic therapists, nutritionists. The people who quietly keep their communities moving.

Most of them are brilliant at what they do, but the problem is that most of them are also almost impossible to find unless you already know they exist or you are lucky enough to find them on social media.

Think about the last time you tried to find a gym, a yoga class, or a physio in a new area.

You probably typed something into Google. You got a map with a few pins on it, mostly the big chains that can afford to be there. You scrolled past three sponsored results. You clicked into a listing with a phone number, a five-year-old photo, and no class timetable. You gave up and asked a friend instead.

The fitness and wellness industries are one of the most fragmented local business sectors around. There is no equivalent of Booking.com for finding a good local Pilates studio. No single place where you can see what is actually near you, what classes are on this week, what it costs, and whether it looks like somewhere you would want to walk into.

So we built one.

What is Feelin Well?

Feelin Well is a map-first fitness and wellness directory for Ireland and the United Kingdom, created to build your local community without emptying your pocket.

We want our platform to be accessible: you open the search, you see a map of where you are, and you see what is around you. Not a list ranked by who paid the most. Not a search results page. A map, with pins, showing real businesses in your actual area.

You can then filter by what you are looking for, across categories covering everything from gyms and CrossFit boxes to hypnotherapy, prenatal fitness, GAA clubs, and even open water swimming. You can set a radius. You can search by keyword. And you can browse classes and events separately, so if you just want to find a yoga class on Thursday evening within 5 miles of you, you can do exactly that.

Every listing shows you what you actually need to know: photos, opening hours, what facilities they have, what classes they run, what jobs they are hiring for, and how to get in touch. You can message a business directly through the platform. You can save the ones you like and come back to them every single week or every time you're in town.

And it is free for users and always will be free. There is no premium tier for users, no paywall, and no account required to browse.

For the businesses on the other side of the map

The average fitness studio fills only around 37% of its total class capacity directly. That means nearly two-thirds of the spots you have available — and the revenue they represent — go unfilled every single week.

Meanwhile, acquiring one new customer through Google Ads or social media typically costs somewhere between €100 and €120.

Those two numbers are the reason Feelin Well exists. We wanted to create an equal opportunities platform so that the boutique Yoga studio or independent gym has the same chance as the large gym chain.

You have capacity. There are people within two miles of you actively looking for exactly what you offer. And the only way most businesses have to connect those two things is to pay for it, and to be honest, we think that is broken.

What you get

A full business profile with your photos, description, opening hours, amenities, pricing, and social links. Your classes and events on the map, so people searching for a Tuesday evening spin class can actually find yours. Job listings, so when you are hiring a PT or a receptionist, you can reach thousands of fitness professionals. Direct messaging with customers. Real analytics showing you how many people are viewing and saving your listing.

What you do not get

Commission on your bookings. We do not take one.

This is worth being blunt about because it is the thing that separates us from most platforms in this space. Feelin Well links out to your existing booking system — your website, your app, your Acuity page, whatever you already use. We drive the discovery. You handle the booking. You keep the customer relationship, and you keep the money.

We charge a flat monthly subscription. That is it. No booking fees, no commission, no cut of your revenue.

What it costs

Six months free. Completely free — full profile, unlimited classes and events, job listings, messaging, analytics, all of it.

After six months, it's just €15 per month, or £15 per month if you are in the UK. If you run multiple locations, there is a 10% discount at two or more and a 20% discount at six or more.

You can cancel any time before the trial ends and pay nothing at all.

Built for this industry specifically

Feelin Well is not a general business directory with a fitness filter bolted on. Every part of it was built for this industry.

The category system covers 35 top-level categories and over 100 sub-categories, because "gym" does not describe a hypnotherapist, and "wellness" does not describe a powerlifting club. The events map exists because fitness businesses run schedules, not just opening hours. The jobs board exists because this industry constantly hires and has nowhere good to advertise. The amenities list has things like a heated studio, sauna, climbing wall, and changing rooms because those are the things people actually want to know before they show up.

We built it this way because we think the fitness and wellness industry in Ireland and the UK deserves better than being just another pin on a map.

An equal opportunities platform

Feelin Well is an equal opportunities platform. Whether you are a 200-member commercial gym or one person running yoga classes in a community hall on Saturday mornings, you get the same profile, the same map placement, the same tools, and the same chance to be found by your local community.

There is no auction and no bidding for position. There is no world where a business with a bigger budget appears above a better business.

You show up because you are there and you are relevant. That is it.

We are just getting started

Feelin Well is live now across Ireland and the UK.

If you are looking for somewhere to train, somewhere to recover, or someone to help you get where you are going — have a look at the map. Your local community is more interesting than you think.

If you run a business in this space — get your listing up. It is free for six months, it takes about ten minutes, and there is no reason not to.

And if there is something we are missing, something that would make this genuinely more useful for you, tell us. We are a new company and we are building this in public, for the people who are actually going to use it. Email us at support@feelinwell.co. We read everything.
